Welcome to North Surrey Afasic!

North Surrey Afasic are a volunteer led charity, who support children and young adults with speech and language needs. We run a fortnightly ‘Friday Club’, and run activity weeks in the summer. To subsidise the cost of activity weeks, we run a number of fundraising events throughout the year. For more information see the links below.

Why Join Us?

We have a large range of volunteers, including parents and students who are looking for experience for their studies.  However we always need new volunteers!

Covid Update

29th April 2020

Dear All,
I do hope that you are all well and are coping with the difficult situation that we all face due to the Coronavirus. At this time we would normally be very busy planning our Summer Activity Weeks, but this year is very different and the committee have taken the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Junior Activity Week due to difficulty booking venues, recruiting volunteers and general uncertainty. We are still hopeful that the Senior Activity week may go ahead in some form and Bowles are keeping this as an open possibility currently. If this is the case, we will confirm further details in due course.

I am sure this may be disappointing news to many of you, though in these strange times perhaps not unexpected. The Committee will be focusing our efforts on re-opening Friday Clubs as soon as the government guidance allows and planning for 2021 when hopefully life will be back to normality for us all.

Very best wishes to you all,
George Drewitt, Chair, North Surrey Afasic
